Glaswegians have been left baffled by the sight of strange beams of light in the sky.The mystery orange lights were spotted appearing in the cloudy sky by a number of residents across the city.
Angie Lang noticed the lights in the Firhill area looking northward around 11:20pm last night. She says the lights were a "teensy bit aurora-like".
The following amazing UFO report has been submitted to MUFON.
Witness statement: "i received a message by messenger on january 12, 2021, from mr. martãn chacã³n, a resident of the la falda neighborhood, piriã¡polis, maldonado, uruguay. i contacted him on whatsapp and he sent me a video of strange lights perched on cerro del toro, near his home, recorded with his cell phone on january 9 at approximately 23 hours and 30 minutes"
"i did analysis using vegas software and then contacted him by phone to ask about the details of his observation. in addition, he gave me another video recorded by a friend who was with him that night. the friend's name is gustavo ledesma. they first observed an oval shape or arrangement of the lights, and before disappearing it changed to a v shape. the lights were intense and flashing. the estimated size was more than 20 meters long. both witnesses noted that he was not fully supported on the ground, but remained leaning with a part in the air. it did not emit any kind of sound. moments before starting the observation, the witnesses noticed that all the dogs in the area began to howl. the entire sighting lasted about 5 minutes. i accompany the report with both videos and photos of the site."
You-tuber "MrTensz1" has posted an interesting video showing two bright objects hovering over Graz, Austria, on 28 January 2021.
The two objects then move towards each other, appearing to merge into one object before moving off and fading away until then are no longer observable.
A suspected UFO sighting has been reported to MUFON consisting of a bright white light hovering over Touchet, Washington, USA on 27 January 2021.
The witness states "Bright random light of four; hovering; quick ascent. I was raised within hours of area 51 in California, and have never witnessed a UFO until now. At the dusk of day, just off my back porch, I noticed some brightness of lights flashing, looking closer it was evident the object was stationary and hovering. Grabbing binoculars, I could make out a dome shape with four pulsating lights along it’s bottom edge. It was disappointing and unfortunate this detail was not captured in my video. After a duration of 3 minutes or so, the object ascended backwards like a shooting star, and disappeared from my sight."
There is no evidence in the video to confirm what the witness states regarding the object's appearance and behavior - that is unfortunate. All we can see from the video is an out-of-focus bright light hovering, which could very well be from an aircraft's landing light, a helicopter or a drone.
Conclusion - inconclusive
An unknown person has reported a suspected UFO incident to MUFON. The report contains videos and an enhanced image of three bright objects in the sky.
At first the objects appear as a triangle shape at in the first video. In the second video, the objects have moved into random positions.
The witness states "Went to the beach for sunset. noticed a very bright object."
Any three objects evenly spaced will form a triangle shape - its does not mean there is a triangular shaped object. This is confirmed in the second half of the video and the image when the lights have drifted out of formation in a random pattern. The lights have a reddish shade to them, very familiar as seen in Chinese lanterns. The objects do not perform any extra-ordinary movements, again they move in a way a Chinese lantern would in the breeze.
Conclusion - possibly Chinese lanterns
Maestro Galvis has posted a video showing a strange metallic-looking object floating over Cali, Colombia on 17 Jan 2021.
He says "object seen from the south of cali between 4 and 5 in the afternoon, judge"
Analysis
The object does seem to just float along in the breeze just like a balloon would.
Conclusion - possibly a balloon?
Ramona McCoy (aka Queen of the night eye in the sky) live-streams video of the moon on Facebook from Las Vegas, Nevada, US. On the night of 24 January 2021 his telescope captured a strange round object float across the face of the moon.
He says "I do a live feed of the moon when is visible via Facebook and I have many videos with objects; not sure if this is something, but I have never seen any object slow down as this did. I was live, so over 1000 people saw it too."
Analysis
We can say the object is round-ish and seems to be tumbling through the air. It is mostly dark coloured but there does appear to be a brighter or shiny side to it. The object does seem to drift along randomly, just like a balloon in the wind.
Conclusion - probably a balloon but who knows!
Yanka dos Santos has recorded a video showing a dark, diamond shaped object floating in the sky over the Serra Grande region of Brazil on 24 January 2021.
He says "Strange object at high altitude filmed at 06h52min on 24.01.2021, at the top of Serra Grande (1,352 m.), District of Itaim, located between the Municipalities of Pouso Alegre-MG, Cachoeira de Minas-MG and Conceição dos Ouros-MG . According to witnesses, there was some kind of interference with cell phones at the time of the sighting".
Analysis
The object appears to have a rounded top and a pointed bottom, just like a balloon carrying a weight.
Conclusion - object is most probably a weather balloon.
A video has appeared that shows several bright objects streaking through the evening skies over Colombia.
The video was apparently taken on 16 January 2021. Exactly when and where the video was taken is unknown.
Analysis
We can see at the start of the video that there is a single bright object leaving a tail which then breaks up into several smaller bright objects. These seem to traverse in a slightly downward direction before disappearing towards the end of the video. This has all the characteristics of a meteorite or man-made space junk entering and burning-up in the Earths atmosphere.
Conclusion - probably a meteorite or other space junk
An intriguing video has been posted by "SECTOR 9" showing a bright cigar-shaped light moving just above the tree-line in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil. Filmed from a car at the side of a road, the observer then zooms and changes the exposure to reveal that the object is in fact what looks like a single craft with several lights down the side.
We do not know exactly when and where this video was taken, nor the circumstances around it. More information has been requested from "SECTOR 9" but this is so far not forthcoming.
If this video is a fake, then it is a very good one.
The following was reported to MUFON on 24 Janurary 2021.
Witness sates "We were flying at 35000 feet.Operating Captain was just in the process of sitting down on his seat and the aircraft started to turn on the route which enabled him to see this brilliant white round object above and to the right of the aircraft.It could either have been hovering or moving slowly(difficult to tell due relative motion).Cell phone cameras were put in action fat to capture the object.After landing was found out that it had been seen/filmed in different areas as well."
We can see from the video that this was taken from the flight deck, presumably by the pilot or co-pilot. Aircrew are used to seeing the sky so this must have been a very unusual object for them to record and post to MUFON.
A quick look at Stellarium at the early evening sky above Karachi on 23 Jan 2021 shows no unusually bright heavily body.
There is the plant Mars, which is quite bright, but has a very reddish tinge and is quite near the moon. The object does not have any reddish tinge and the moon is not visible in the video.
Conclusion - unknown
There has been a couple of "UFO" sightings this week that have "gone viral" and taken the media by storm. First, there was the purported "near collision with UFO captured on camera by Singapore Airlines passenger".
In the video, the passenger is recording out of the window when suddenly, the captain announces passengers adopt the brace position and a white saucer shaped object rushes past the window.
Unfortunately, this video is all completely fake, a hoax. "Lions Ground" has done an excellent job of debunking this video as can be see here;
Then there was the video showing "glowing Ring UFO Over Fargo, North Dakota".
This should have been obvious it was just some street lighting. Youtuber "ufoofinterest" has again shown us the truth
It is a shame that some people want the fame and glory of making a fool of the media and the public. It is up to true UFO investigators to weed out the rubbish, and report that 5% of sightings that aren't fake and cannot be easily explained by man-made objects or natural phenomena.
George Mendoza has posted a couple of videos of what looks like a bright, shiny object hovering in the sky over Jurupa Valley, California, 22 Jan 2021.
George says "Looked at it with my telescope and its a chrome cigar shaped object."
The object could of course just be something earthly on the ground catching the sun on the mountainside!
CCTV has caught the moment mysterious blue lights flashed across the sky - leaving residents baffled.
Georgina Southgate, who lives in Sturry near Canterbury, was walking to her car with her sister when she witnessed the blinding beam. The 22-year-old was left puzzled and still does not know what she witnessed at about 10.20pm on Wednesday.
“Me and my sister had just headed out to the shops to get some stuff in," the 22-year-old writer said. “There was a storm outside and we were trying to get to the car. But we saw these blue flashes and we just stopped. They flashed really quickly and it looked like it came from a row of houses."
She checked footage captured by CCTV cameras attached to her home in Cedar Road which caught the strange spectacle.
"We had no idea what it was and started joking it was aliens like in War of the Worlds - but obviously it’s not," she added.
"I posted the videos on Facebook and everybody has had theories of what it is but we still don’t know."
Some speculated it had came from a power cable as there were outages reported in the area. Others made jokes that it had been a UFO landing in the area, while some claimed it was a hoax.
Reporter Kang Gyeong-guk = An unidentified flying object (UFO) was photographed above Geoje, Gyeongnam, and interests are gathering about the authenticity.
Heo Tae-won (45), who provided the drone shooting video, said, "The planes appeared and disappeared for about 30 minutes in the air near the apartment in Junggok-dong, Geoje-si between 6 pm and 7 pm on the last 15th." It was spinning around in place and then suddenly disappeared.”
Heo remembered, "I have witnessed similar scenes twice in the same place before," and "There were a lot of people exercising around, but I couldn't hear anything, so I didn't care."
Gimhae Airport Aviation Corps said, "There is no record that the vehicle has received permission to fly during that time period."
A maritime official said, "If you look at the video, it doesn't seem like a normal aircraft or a helicopter," he said.
Veronica Magallanes from Mesa, Arizona, USA has posted an interesting video of a bright stationary object from what looks like her back yard.
Towards the end of the video, the object suddenly shoots off to the left and disappears behind a tree. Veronica's dog can be heard whining throughout the video, clearly distressed: or perhaps just wanting to play?
Analysis
The object in the video does look and behave like a LED illuminated drone.
You-tuber "Chop chop" has posted a couple of videos showing a metallic diamond shaped UFO floating over the city of Medellin, Colombia, and actually floating down behind some buildings.
The object is very similar to a previous videos from Medellin on 24 December 2020, Bogota, Colombia On Dec 31, 2020 and even one from Mexico on 13 December 2020. Are these the same object? Why Colombia? Is there a prankster in Medellin releasing balloons?
A southwest Idaho resident recently reported an incident of an unidentified aerial phenomenon that flew incredibly low to the ground, and cast an orange glow that illuminated the entire backyard of the home.
This is the second reported case of an unexplained sighting to take place in the state's capital in 2021. The other incident was reported on January 10, 2021, along US- Highway 95, near the city of Colburn. The report detailed multiple, small lights, that moved across the sky.
Witness report: "It was super weird the lights moved independently from each other two of them moved west right past the mountain then suddenly changed trajectory back east towards the other lights, they then disappeared one by one and then came back 30 mins later"
One observer says; "I live in Phoenix and the flight path into Sky Harbor can make lights appear way closer or flying in unison. The flight path often changes so it can either come from superstition, south mountain or from the north. Having said that, I can’t tell you that’s 100% what that is but wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what it was."
Another says, "I was going to say looks like typical jets lined up to land at Sky Harbor."
Andy Stone has posted a video of a bright cigar shaped object flying over York, UK dated 19 January, 2021 The actual day of the video is not known, but is not the 19th as it was pouring with rain that day.
Andy says "Saw this moving across the sky at school home time. Baffling parents and children. It was around 20 000 feet I would say and looked a bit bigger than a passenger jet"
If we take an enlarged screen-shot of the image we can see the object is a cigar shaped, with a darker undulation midway - just in the place an aircraft wings would be.
If we look at flight tracker sites, we see there are several aircraft which fly to the north of York during January 2021.
Aircraft flying in the 30,000 feet mark would leave contrails, so lets look at aircraft flying lower. A typical example is Eastern Airlines Embraer ERJ-170 flying from Humberside airport to Aberdeen, a smaller plane passing York at just under 9000 feet.
We can see the aircraft has an all-white livery - just like the object in the video. What would this aircraft image look like if taken on a handheld phone, with the aircraft so far away it is only a spec and slightly out-of-focus?
Conclusion - Object is probably Eastern Airlines Embraer ERJ-170 flying Humberside to Aberdeen.
Another "UFO" video has been posted showing a "UFO" slowing landing in a Oaxaca forest.
Analysis
Again, upon closer inspection, we can clearly see that it is a drone.

Rick Becerril has posted a video of an object floating in the sky over Hueytamalco Puebla, Mexico on January 6th, 2021. The object drifts down from the sky before "landing" in the forest.
Rick says "He was with his wife and one more witness. He said there have been many sightings for the past months. He also sees hovering lights at night."
The object is either diamond shaped or a balloon like carrying a heavy load, forming the point at the bottom. The object certainly drifts and floats to the ground like a balloon would.
Conclusion - Balloon or unknown
A series of images taken from a video compilation has just come to light but chronicle the strange flying objects a Japanese explore and you-tuber "Uncle Antarctic" has witnessed during his visits to an Antarctic base last year. What is interesting is that there should be no erroneous drones, balloons, aircraft or any other man-made flying objects over the Antarctic, so flying objects are difficult to explain!
In the video, "Uncle Antarctic" states; " Unidentified flying objects (UFOs), unknown objects flying in the air, exist all over the world and have been witnessed everywhere. Such a UFO was witnessed this time in Antarctica.
"I want the general public to know more about Antarctic research. I hope that the people will understand it."
"I didn't really want to post UFO videos. I didn't want to see the Antarctic research in a different direction. However, viewers received too many comments and questions about UFOs. So I decided to post it."
The first photo is a photo taken from the 19th Square of Syowa Station toward the sea. "The aurora photograph taken for 4 seconds shows the trajectory of the UFO's violent movement. The other stars are not blurred. It's not a composite. It's like this?"

The second photo was taken seven years ago when an uncle in Antarctica was working in a crane car. "Around 3-4 mysterious objects were moving together, forming an upside-down V-shape. The head was moving forward, but the back row was moving left and right."

This UFO does not seem to be an artificial satellite because the trajectory of movement is shown in front of the building. "I took this photo for 4 seconds and took a series of shots, and I took a total of about 1000 photos, but this was the only one I saw. I think it moved at a tremendous speed in 4 seconds. If this is a UFO with aliens on it, it's very small. "

Analysis
Antarctica is famous for the Southern Lights or Aurora Astralis, but what are these lights? Auroras are the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind. These disturbances are sometimes strong enough to alter the trajectories of charged particles in both solar wind and magnetospheric plasma. These particles, mainly electrons and protons, precipitate into the upper atmosphere resulting in ionization and excitation of atmospheric constituents emitting light of varying colour and complexity.
We can see from photo 3 in particular, the path of the "UFO" is actually in front of the building, not in the sky, and so the "UFO" must be fast and small. It's likely that there is no observable "UFO" at all, as "Uncle Antarctica" admits himself. It is most likely that the "UFO"s are scintillation light trails in the camera sensor caused by high energy charged particles. This would also explain why the "UFO" path is invariably circular, as the charged particle would curve when acted upon by the earths magnetic field.
In photo 4 the object may be a meteor.
Conclusion - Charged particles and meteors
Geo has posted a video showing a rounded, translucent object in the sky above Lake Calima, Colombia on January 12, 2021.
He says "This UFO was changing shape and kept moving from left to right."
What can we determine;
1) The object is round and made from some translucent material
2) The object seems to have an appendage coming down from the bottom centre
3) The object appears to be drifting higher with the wind
Conclusion - High Altitude Weather balloon. Note there is an airfield just 10 miles to the south east and a number of educational establishments nearby.
Frans Schilling has posted a video showing a strange bright flying object. This was taken the evening of January 11, 2021 in Merriam Woods, Missouri.
At certain points in the video, the object becomes less of a blur and some structure can be determined. We can see the object has four brighter parts at each corner - just like a drone. The object does not exhibit any unusual flight characteristics either, and behaves very much like a drone would.
Conclusion - LED lit drone
Juan Carlos Jiménez Valeriano has posted another video showing a strange object flying in the night sky.
The only thing I can confirm is that this thing, whatever it is, was not normal. It had a triangular-shaped appearance, the noise it emitted was quite strange, plus a few seconds later it disappeared out of nowhere ... Some say I'm crazy, that maybe it was an airplane or a drone, but nevertheless, in all my life I had seen something as strange as this ...
I do not gain anything by lying to you, I just want you to be aware of what happens in our surroundings ... I have spent days observing these types of sightings and just yesterday I was able to capture something like that. Some of my friends have been able to observe this type of thing together with me, but yesterday has left me with a lot of intrigue ... I have seen with my own eyes that we are not alone: '( Everyone should pay attention to what is happening lately"
Analysis
The object has what looks like at least 5 or 6 lights around the periphery, in a circular shape. We also see the occasional flash of blue and red lights. The shape of these lights are very reminiscent of a type of larger drone. We do not see the object exhibit any unusual flight characteristics - it just drifts along, just like a drone would.
Must be a slow news day for the Daily Record newspaper as it has run a story about a "shapeshifting UFO bewilder onlookers levitating above Kilmarnock"
Analysis
Clearly, this is nothing more than a high altitude aircraft doing a slow bank to the right. The setting sun is illuminating the aircraft contrail from below. Toward the end of the video, you can see another aircraft flying left to right producing another contrail. The "UFO" contrail looks shorter as we see it edge on and not side on like the second aircraft.
Conclusion - Aircraft
The following video has been posted showing what at first glance seems to show a very convincing UFO hovering and then shooting off in different directions.
Analysis
There are several points in the video where the object comes close enough to the camera to just make out a vague shape. You can see a rounded central body and four appendages at each corner - the same shape as common toy drone. The object actually behaves as a drone would too.
Jaime Mauricio Becerra Morales has posted a video showing a dark object floating in the sky near Tláhuac forest, Mexico 11 Jan 2021.
He claims "The UFO landed on land about 800 meters from my house Hera in a diamond shape the colony is called tempiluli". There is no further information.
This is yet another video showing what could likely be a balloon or similar blowing along in the breeze. What is peculiar is that at one point in the video, the object seems to speed up for a second or two then slows down again - this could be as a result of a "glitch" in the recording on his phone however. It would also appear that there is very little wind.
Eyewitness states: Black cube shape about 10ft length/width/height with apparent exhaust on one side.
On January 3, 2021, I was exiting a department store located in Royal Palm Beach, FL, at 6pm. I had just finished shopping with my 10 year old son when I spotted a dark, cubed-shaped object, moving slowly from the west towards a north/northwest location. I immediately filmed it with a somewhat unsteady hand as my son and I were standing on the edge of the street and we had packages that we were keeping an eye on.
Still, I was able to follow it until I lost visual as it seemed to be lowering its altitude and lost it behind the store. It was at around 500ft away, give or take. It had what seemed to be some sort of dim light on one side and it appeared that it was some sort of propulsion and it seemed to show some rotation motion. There was no sound coming from it. As soon as I lost visual I jumped in my car and started driving behind the store but couldn’t see it anymore.
The object certainly has the appearance of a bag or slightly deflated balloon. The object does seem to be moving quite swiftly as if in a strong breeze, but looking at the trees in the foreground of the video, there does not appear to be much wind at all.
The witness mentions a dim light on the side - this could be the remnants of the burner from a Chinese lantern
The mystery surrounding a loud explosion high in the skies above Coventry rumbles on, with the primary suspects distancing themselves from the incident.
Residents from across the city, and the wider Warwickshire area, reported hearing a loud bang on Saturday night (January 9), leaving many mystified.
The plot thickened when doorstep camera footage showed the noise was accompanied by a bright flash of light in the sky - appearing to be an explosion of sorts.
Initially, it seemed likely that the cause of the noise was a sonic boom - the noise that accompanies a jet plane breaking the speed of sound.
However, today (Monday, January 11), the Royal Air Force (RAF) has revealed there was no fast jet activity on Saturday night.
As a result, an RAF spokesperson has said that whatever the cause of the mystery, it was not RAF related. He said: "Our operations team can confirm that there was no RAF fast Jet activity on Saturday thus, whatever was heard in your area it was not related to the RAF."
Footage of the explosion also showed moving dots of light in the sky at around the same time - and while these could have been commercial aircraft, these would not have caused a sonic boom.
Other theories as to the cause of the mystery include weather phenomena or even space debris passing overhead - though neither has been confirmed at this time.
The video was captured by a doorstep camera courtesy of Coventry residents Richard and Jo-Anne Barrick.
It is believed that the incident took place shortly before 10pm.
Cllr Sheamus Greene reported a couple of ‘close encounters’ with literal UFOs, unidentified flying objects, in recent weeks. It all began a few weeks ago when he spotted a strange orange glowing object in the skies over Carrickaheenan view point, near Brookeborough. Cllr Greene said he had been driving home when he noticed a strange light in the sky.
The weirdness doesn’t end there either. On the very next day after he
spotted the first UFO, Cllr Greene discovered a local picnic table set
in the same area completely wrapped in black plastic. Baffled as to why,
Cllr Greene contacted the council department responsible for the table.
Strangely, it was not the Council who wrapped the table.
“I’m as baffled as anyone else by it, it’s very spooky. ” he said.
Then, last week, Cllr Greene was walking near in the local area when he spotted yet another unidentified object flying in the sky, this time in daylight.
“One person said they had seen these lights, and one of the quotes sent
to me was that possibly that plastic was put on the bench to stop you
looking up as it’s a view point,” he said. “Then they ended the message
very spookily by saying ‘tread carefully’.”
"The sighting of the unidentified flying object - says Giusa - was made by a man from Catania around seven on Thursday, while he was in the area of the" Corvaja "sports field in the Immacolata district. The man saw the UFO traveling quickly in the sky, then the flying object stopped, to start again shortly after. The sighter had time to take a photo. The image carefully examined by us seems original, without counterfeiting ".
Analysis
The image is too poor and there is no reference with the ground to make any real conclusions. Could possibly just be a strange cloud.
