Student photographs object with bright lights hovering over the sea before "it sped off" near Teignmouth , Devon, UK, June 2021 - UPDATED July 2021

A student says he was left shocked after spotting a large UFO hovering "for ten seconds" over a Devon seafront - before it sped off into the distance.

Photos he took appear to show four bright lights in a triangular-shaped formation lingering in the night's sky.

The mature student said within seconds of taking the pictures, the object sped off into the distance.

Matthew said: "I couldn't help but see it.

"My kitchen window gives a great view of the sea so when it came across the horizon

"It wasn't moving like a plane would.

"It was moving a lot slower and went up and down for a bit before hovering a good ten seconds.

"It stayed in one spot long enough for me to pull out my phone and get those snaps.

"Then it quickly zoomed off at some speed and I couldn't see it anymore.

"The light was really bright."

"I just didn't know what it could be so I decided to take a picture.

"I'm not quite losing my marbles yet.

"But it's hard to place it so I suppose it is an unidentified flying object."

Update

Local photographer Matthew Blythe also took a photograph from the same location looking out to see that night. He used a proper camera, not a phone camera. What he photographed was the moon poking through a gap in the clouds. As we can see, the image is identical to the "UFO" image taken by Mathew Evans.

"Tic Tac" shaped object over photographed over Hinckley, Liecestershire, UK before "shooting off in a blink of an eye" 13 June 2021

Lucy Jane Castle, swore she saw the craft matching the description of the USS Nimitz UFO encounter hovering over Leicestershire.

She took a photo of the craft before it shot away "in the blink of an eye" last Sunday at 9pm.

The nutritionist, of Hinckley, said: "It was hovering for a while and within a blink of an eye it had gone.

"Never seen anything like this before in that shape. Quickly took a picture while it was very still and within a blink of an eye it disappeared."

She posted the puzzling snap on the UK UFO sightings group on Facebook.

Analysis

In the main 2nd image, the object is so far away that the camera cannot resolve much detail. If you think that the tail and wings occupy less then 1 pixel in the image sensor, they won't appear in the images. The zoomed image would also not show these either.

East Midlands airport (EMA) is to the north of Liecesterchire but this woman said she spotted it in the southwest near Hinckley. Looking at the flightradar data from that time (June 13th 9pm GMT), two flights passed Hinckley, a Wizzair Airbus A320 departing from Birmingham international (BHX) to the south, and a Fedex 757 departing from EMA to the North. However, the flight path of both planes was still quite far from Hinckley itself. There's no military installations in the area, nor any other real points of interest.

Woman spots fast moving black object in the sky over Hoylake beach over Hoylake beach, Wirral, UK 1 June 2021

A woman from Hoylake, Wirral, UK says she witnessed a strange incident during a sunset beach walk with her sister on Tuesday, June 1.

Colette Elcock was visiting Hoylake beach with her sister, Francis, when they spotted a black shape moving quickly along the horizon.

As they were looking out towards the wind turbines, they noticed the object traveling at speed above the sand.

Colette told the Globe: “The sun had just set, and we were sat on the rocks by Hoylake Lifeboat Station.

“As we were looking out on the beach, I noticed this black shape come from the righthand side and moving really fast.

“At first I thought it was moving along the sand.

“I turned to Francis and said, ‘what’s that’?”

Colette says at first, she thought the object was a sand yacht but then realised it was travelling too fast to be one.

“I thought who would be out so late at night moving so fast along the sand that’s a bit weird.

“We were saying to each other ‘could it be a drone?’ but it was a round shape and didn’t have arms sticking out of it,” she said.

Colette’s sister had her camera with her and began to take pictures.

“We both watched it move up above the horizon and zoom along for a little while and then it went upwards,” Colette said.

As Colette and her sister looked at the pictures captured on the camera the flying object had disappeared.

Colette said: “Then we lost it.

“I’m not sure if it was because of cloud cover but we didn’t see it again.

“We were wondering where it had gone it was all very puzzling.

“I was trying to make sense of it, but I couldn’t figure out what it could be.”

Metallic Diamond-shaped object floats above Anglesey, North Wales, UK on 04 June 2021

YouTuber "John Snow" has posted a video showing a large, metallic diamond shaped object floating over his house on Anglesy, North Wales, UK on 4 June 2021.

John says "This huge diamond shaped craft flew over my house while I was having a smoke outside my front door. It was metallic like polished chrome, about the size of a bus and was completely smooth and had no visible engines or exhaust and was completely silent as it went overhead. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life!"

Light aircraft performs steep right-hand climbing turn to avoid an unknown object, Wellingborough, reported to UK Airprox Board, 18 Feb 2021

The UK Aircraft near-miss reporting agency, the Airprox Board, has recently reported a near-miss incident between a light aircraft and an unknown object over Wellingborough that occurred on 18 Feb 2021.

The report states, "The DA40 pilot reports that they were performing a VFR navigation training flight and were on a leg tracking towards Grafton Underwood.

Just 1NM to the south of Wellingborough town, while performing standard lookout, they spotted the UAV closing fast, to the left and slightly below the nose at a range of about 100m. They performed a steep right-hand climbing turn but, by the time they had begun climbing away, the UAV was already abeam their left wing and slightly below.

The UAV was 1-1.5m across, grey/silver in colour and with no visible markings or lighting. Immediately afterwards they informed Cranfield approach and passed the location of the incident. There was no NOTAM informing of UAV activity in that area active at the time."

The Airprox board conclude "In the Board’s opinion the reported altitude and/or description of the object were such that they were unable to determine the nature of the unknown object."

Dark object streaks through the day-time sky leaving a trail - Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK 13 March, 2021

A witness has recorded a fast-moving, dark object, streaking through the sky, leaving a trail on their camera, over Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK 13 March, 2021.

The witness states "Reflective flash drew my attention to the object which i thought was a helium balloon at first, then noticed it was traveling at speed towards my location horizontally flight path was in front of low clouds, clear sunny day not raining, ufo disappears out of sight behind tree branches after looking at video a couple more ufo's appears to be present to the right hand side tree after looking at video frame by frame it looks like it moves from point to point in one frame two ufo disappear from screen and appear to leave a white mark in the cloud and then reappear"

This has been reported to MUFON.

Analysis

The object is moving very fast - as fast if not faster then a jet aircraft. The witness did not report any engine sounds coming from the object however. The object may be a meteorite, although meteorites usually glow white hot following entry to the earths' atmosphere and are often accompanied by a sonic boom. Again, no boom was reported by the witness.

Conclusion - unknown

Woman captures bizarre 'tiny humanoid' on camera, Wigan UK 26 Feb 2021

According to the news site, WiganTimes, a woman out walking her dog, snapping off some pictures on her new smartphone camera, couldn't believe her eyes when she got home and looked through the images.

In her own words, Mellisa Braham, from St Helens, recalls: 'It was my birthday recently and as a gift I received a new smart phone. On Friday, February 26, seeing as it was a nice day I decided to take my dog for a walk in the afternoon, I also took my new phone to test out the camera.

During the afternoon I took several short video clips and a selection of random photographs at different resolutions. Later on in the evening I uploaded the photography to my PC to have a look at it.

It was whilst looking through the still photos that I spotted on one of them what appears to look like a tiny humanoid-shaped figure walking from right to left.

Now I am not saying that the object is a tiny living and breathing being of some kind, but looking at the enlargements of the object one can clearly see what does resemble a bipedal creature of some kind: a head, eye, body, arms, legs, hands and feet can clearly be seen.

Whatever the mysterious object is it is definitely something as it is reflecting sunlight and also casts a shadow on the ground. It doesn't look like a squirrel, rat, bird or any other kind of animal that I have ever seen before, it definitely is a very strange-looking object.

I suppose it could it be something or nothing, something very ordinary like a scrap of rubbish captured at a strange angle, trick of the light etc making it look extraordinary. I'm no photographic expert so I really don't know, all I can say is what it looks like to me.

The photo was taken at full resolution, with a 12 MP camera set to fully automatic, no zoom used. The photo was taken in between the entrance to Victoria Park and the now demolished healthcare centre on Cowley Hill Lane, St Helens.'

Original Image

Mellisa said she is going to send the snap off to some experts for analysis.

She went on: 'One researcher pointed out that the figure does look 2D, and lacks detail as some pointed out. She said the photo is 100% correct for the bright sunny conditions, and that he would not expect to see much detail unless it was cloudy and dull, and the reason for the 2D look is the distance, size of the figure and the bright sunlight all over it, he also pointed out that if the figure is a genuine extraterrestrial shape-shifting wormhole traveling entity, then how do we know how such a creature would appear to the human eye.

I never saw the figure at the time of taking the photo, it was just a quick test snap trying out the camera.

If someone left it planted there for a joke, a model, toy or cardboard cut out, then why didn't I see it and surely some eagle-eyed little kid would have spotted it and kept it for themselves?

Plus, it wasn't a windy day but there was a strong enough breeze from time to time to easy blow over a lightweight toy not to mention a paper cut-out, and who can get a piece of paper much less than a millimetre thick to stand upright on a breezy day on it's own with no visible means of suspension?'

Mellisa's story has appeared on several popular extraterrestrial websites and she says she has been accused of fakery and been ridiculed for bringing it to light.

Analysis

The old adage, "if something is too good to be true, it probably is" seems to fit this story.

Conclusion - almost certainly fake

Shiny, floating object over South Yorkshire, UK - observed by at least 2 witnesses in different locations, 28 Feb 2021

The same strange object has been spotted and recorded floating over large parts of South Yorkshire, UK by 2 separate witnesses in different locations, on 28 February 2021.

The first video was posted on Facebook and shows the object spinning and floating over Rotherham South Yorkshire. The witness says "we was at home when we saw something in the sky we quickly grabbed our camera and started to film, you will not believe what happened and what we caught on camera! 100% real!"

Next, a similar object was spotted over  Carcroft, South Yorkshire approx 17 miles to the north east. The witness took video and actually made a report to MUFON.

The witness gives a details account of the sighting "The object was stationary above my property for approx 25 minutes. we first observed it after seeing a helicopter pass below the object. the helicopter seemed to not notice the object at all.

The object was seen as three vertical bright lights at first at around a mile high. it wasn't until i observed it through binoculars that i could see that it was y shaped and made up of 4 shapes. a reddish tictac shaped middle section with two struts sticking out of the top at angles, with a goldish orb atop both struts.

Underneath the tictac was another strut with a silver orb attached. the whole structure was metalic. with the sun reflecting from it. with a bright light on each of the orbs which was visable when it turned its sides towards us. making it look like a lighted straight vertical line.

it remained stationary, but after 20 minutes it rapidly moved a short distance from right to left. hovered for a while. before then quickly moving again from left to right. it then slowly rose vertically. before suddenly shooting upward vertically at very high speed out of sight.

i have attached a video of the object which is of poor quality because of the sun glaring onto the screen. i might add the the weather was very good with blue sky and little cloud to obstruct view. also attached are close ups of the object as clear as i could. the object appears on the right top side of the video as a small white dot which will indicate to you the height it was observed towards the end of the sighting. i would love to hear your opinion on what you think the object is."

Analysis

For the most part, this sighting may have been explained away by a metallic party balloon, perhaps in the shape of a number or letter floating in the wind.  However, the wind that day could not push a balloon from Carncroft to Rotherham. There was a light Northerly wind that day, and to get to Rotherham would require a North-Westerly wind. We don't know where the object was first spotted. If spotted at Rotherham first, then the object would have to go against the wind which a balloon clearly cannot do.

Mysterious blue lights flash across Canterbury, UK, 20 Jan 2021

CCTV has caught the moment mysterious blue lights flashed across the sky - leaving residents baffled.

Georgina Southgate, who lives in Sturry near Canterbury, was walking to her car with her sister when she witnessed the blinding beam. The 22-year-old was left puzzled and still does not know what she witnessed at about 10.20pm on Wednesday.

“Me and my sister had just headed out to the shops to get some stuff in," the 22-year-old writer said. “There was a storm outside and we were trying to get to the car. But we saw these blue flashes and we just stopped. They flashed really quickly and it looked like it came from a row of houses."

She checked footage captured by CCTV cameras attached to her home in Cedar Road which caught the strange spectacle.

"We had no idea what it was and started joking it was aliens like in War of the Worlds - but obviously it’s not," she added.

"I posted the videos on Facebook and everybody has had theories of what it is but we still don’t know."

Some speculated it had came from a power cable as there were outages reported in the area. Others made jokes that it had been a UFO landing in the area, while some claimed it was a hoax.

Mystery “ball of light” followed by a “loud grumble of thunder” over Montgomery, Wales, 20 Jan 2021

Shaun Berwyn posted that he was walking around Lymore, Montgomery, at about 8pm on 20 January 2021 when “it seemed as if someone turned a light on”.

“We looked up to see a huge white ball move over us and disappear!” he posted on a town Facebook page. “Around one minute later there was a brief deep, loud grumble of thunder, then nothing. It freaked out my 14-year-old daughter!”

He dismissed lightning as the “huge white ball of light seemed to slowly disappear into the distance. It was traveling North West”.

Within minutes of posting, dozens of people confirmed seeing or hearing something unusual at the same time from Welshpool, Forden, Trewern, Llansantffraid and Churchstoke.

One commented that they “felt the bang in Guilsfield and thought there had been an explosion”, while another said that “a big explosion sound in Llanfyllin shook the timbers in the house about 8pm. Pheasants woke up screaming”.

We have contacted the Ministry of Defence to ask whether there were any fighter jets that may have caused a sonic boom at around that time, and one physicist told us that it could possibly have been a fireball meteor.

While some jokingly speculated that we could be in for an alien invasion, given the year we have just had, it would be unwise to rule anything out!

The British Geological Survey have no records of any seismic events in the area at that time.

Mystery Sonic Booms over Coventry, UK - RAF fighters not involved, 9 Jan 2021

The mystery surrounding a loud explosion high in the skies above Coventry rumbles on, with the primary suspects distancing themselves from the incident.

Residents from across the city, and the wider Warwickshire area, reported hearing a loud bang on Saturday night (January 9), leaving many mystified.

The plot thickened when doorstep camera footage showed the noise was accompanied by a bright flash of light in the sky - appearing to be an explosion of sorts.

Initially, it seemed likely that the cause of the noise was a sonic boom - the noise that accompanies a jet plane breaking the speed of sound.

However, today (Monday, January 11), the Royal Air Force (RAF) has revealed there was no fast jet activity on Saturday night.

As a result, an RAF spokesperson has said that whatever the cause of the mystery, it was not RAF related. He said: "Our operations team can confirm that there was no RAF fast Jet activity on Saturday thus, whatever was heard in your area it was not related to the RAF."

Footage of the explosion also showed moving dots of light in the sky at around the same time - and while these could have been commercial aircraft, these would not have caused a sonic boom.

Other theories as to the cause of the mystery include weather phenomena or even space debris passing overhead - though neither has been confirmed at this time.

The video was captured by a doorstep camera courtesy of Coventry residents Richard and Jo-Anne Barrick.

It is believed that the incident took place shortly before 10pm.

Strange objects in the sky over Coonian, Co Fermanagh, N Ireland, Jan 2021

Cllr Sheamus Greene reported a couple of ‘close encounters’ with literal UFOs, unidentified flying objects, in recent weeks. It all began a few weeks ago when he spotted a strange orange glowing object in the skies over Carrickaheenan view point, near Brookeborough. Cllr Greene said he had been driving home when he noticed a strange light in the sky.

“My bus run was finished that day so I stopped and took the photograph,” he said. “Then I saw the orange light in the sky and it was in the photo as well, and I just thought, what is that?” He added: “Without a shadow of a doubt, it was a UFO, because the definition of is unidentified flying object. It definitely wasn’t the sun, if you enlarge the photo there are three orange lights a wee bit apart.”

The weirdness doesn’t end there either. On the very next day after he spotted the first UFO, Cllr Greene discovered a local picnic table set in the same area completely wrapped in black plastic. Baffled as to why, Cllr Greene contacted the council department responsible for the table. Strangely, it was not the Council who wrapped the table. “I’m as baffled as anyone else by it, it’s very spooky. ” he said.

Then, last week, Cllr Greene was walking near in the local area when he spotted yet another unidentified object flying in the sky, this time in daylight.

“One person said they had seen these lights, and one of the quotes sent to me was that possibly that plastic was put on the bench to stop you looking up as it’s a view point,” he said. “Then they ended the message very spookily by saying ‘tread carefully’.”

All in all, though, Cllr Greene conceded: “It’s a bit of light relief. I’m not taking it all too seriously.”

Daylight object spotted hovering above Ayrshire hills, UK, 2 Dec 2021

A mysterious UFO has been spotted hovering above snow-capped hills in Ayrshire.

The foreign object was spied hanging in the sky over Galston earlier this week. The man that captured the intriguing image, who wanted to remain anonymous, said the UFO was bigger than a drone. Taken on 2 December 2021 Saturday afternoon, the man is now trying to find out what the unknown object is.

And at the time the picture was being taken, the man admitted that he didn't actually see the object until he reviewed his photos at home.

The man told says; “I was taking a photo of the hills behind Galston, which were covered in snow, and never realised I'd snapped whatever's in the photos until I got home and had a better look at the photos of that day. I never noticed it, at all, until then, it was late afternoon, say 3.30ish, and I noticed I put the post on Facebook after 6pm. I never saw or heard it moving, as I said, never noticed a thing in the photo until I got home...fascinating.”

Chances are the man just captured a bird in flight.

Bright disc UFO near Stonehenge, UK - SOLVED

A mysterious video that shows a UFO flying towards Stonehenge has recently come to light. The video was apparently shot by Tash Minto and her partner Tony Waterhouse were driving on the A303 just outside Mere, Wiltshire on October 31, 2020.

The UFO was a flat circular disc of white light, and Tash soon took out her phone and filmed the creepy sighting. The eyewitness duo also revealed that the mysterious flying object was hovering towards the direction of Stonehenge.

Tash revealed that the unknown flying object just disappeared from their eyesight without any traces of its presence.

 Analysis

Assuming the video is genuine, we must ask why no-one else reported this sighting - there are plenty of other vehicles on the road.

The video states the location as the A303 traveling from Wincanton to Mere - this is West to East, so the video would be taken from a vehicle traveling almost exactly east. A check of Stellarium at around 5:00pm on 31 October 2020 shows a full moon, low down in the sky almost directly East.

Conclusion - video shows the moon, probably through a gap in the cloud.

UFO almost collides with passenger jet on approach to UK airport

A terrifying new report has revealed that a Boeing 737 passenger jet came seconds from disaster during a close call with an unidentified flying object as the plane was preparing to land at a UK airport.

The just-released report into the incident, which took place on September 1 at Leeds Bradford airport, reveals that an unknown, luminous object came within three metres (10 feet) of the plane as it prepared to touch down.

The ‘Category A’ event was only just confirmed by the UK Airprox Board, a near-miss monitoring agency.

“Both pilots suddenly saw a bright light and an object which appeared to be moving toward the aircraft, almost head on, slightly up and to the left,” the report details.

“The object appeared without warning and there was no time to act.”

A police helicopter had witnessed lanterns in the area, however “Neither of the pilots believed what they saw was a lantern,” according to the air safety board.

“A definite risk of collision had existed,” the report continues, but the quick-thinking pilots managed to safely avert disaster.

Another near-collision event occurred just three days prior, when a drone came within three feet of an Airbus A320 passenger jet with 186 passengers on board some 8,000ft above Manchester Airport, flying 20 times above the legal limit for privately-owned drones.

The agency confirmed 400 such incidents have been reported in the past five years.

UFO seen over east York baffles resident

A UFO has been spotted high in the sky over York by a baffled local resident.

David Munley, of Derwenthorpe, in eastern York, says he had gone out for a walk at about 9am last Friday morning when he spotted the strange object in the sky.

"It came over the top of the houses and went over the fields," he said.

"It was silent and traveled a considerable distance.

"It was not an erratic flight, it was smooth. I have absolutely no idea what it was.

"I thought at first it might be a microlight but it was silent.

"It definitely wasn't a drone or a plane. It was rectangular in shape."

His wife Barbara said there was 'no one more skeptical than David,' adding: "It wasn't a drone, as one or two people have suggested. It moved in complete silence across the sky. Did anyone else in York see something strange in the sky?
