Light Aircraft reports near miss with a small black object at 9000feet over Ashford, UK 1 July 2021

The most recent monthly UK Airpox board summary for the month of July details a near-miss between a Cessna C208 aircraft and a small black object at 9500feet over Lashenden, Ashford, UK.

 

The C208 pilot reports that they saw a small object at 9500ft when climbing for a parachute drop. The object was a dark colour (possibly black) and about 1m² in size. No avoiding action was taken. In their opinion, this could have been a drone.

The NATS Safety Investigation notes nothing was observed on radar by the controller and the pilot subsequently stated it may have been a balloon or drone and approximately 2ft in diameter. 

Glowing "UFO" releases orbs over São Gonçalo, Brazil 17 August 2021

A video made on August 17 by Alan Rondon, in São Gonçalo, Brazil shows a strange bright glowing object, floating in the sky, releasing light "orbs. 

Witness says "it stood for a long time in the same place then it started moving and releasing several lights Managed to enlarge and stabilize the image".

 

Drone camera captures fast-moving white object over Vera Cruz, Brazil 8 August 2021

 A video has been posted on YouTube by Fabricio Bullerjahn showing a small, white object flying across the camera view at an extremely fast speed.

Interesting video shows glowing UFO dropping two smaller objects, São Paulo, Brazil, 8 August 2021

A YouTube video from Diego Santos has been posted showing a glowing object floating over Mooca District of São Paulo, Brazil, on 8 August 2021. 

In the clip we can see this brightly lit object fly over the sky of Mooca, the quick thinking witness pulled over his car and managed to filmed the UFO moments before it apparently deploys two smaller objects.

Analysis

If it weren't for the shape of the object, this could be explained by a Chinese lantern dropping some burning fuel. It may of course be an unusually shaped lantern, possible designed to provoke a UFO sighting!

A commentator rightly asks "Why would anyone stop recording if a UFO, potentially an Alien Space Craft was doing that in front of them?"

Unusual fast moving object filmed on night CCTV over Isla Cristina, Andalucía, Spain, 2 August 2021

A witness says he filmed a strange fast-moving object on his security CCTV camera over Isla Cristina, Andalucía, Spain, August 2021. The sighting has been reported to MUFON.

The witness states "I was in the living room managing the security camera with a Wi-Fi connection previously installed on the roof of the house. I turned on the infrared lamp from the laptop in the device software a few minutes later I saw an object passing by at high speed so I started recording the video. I was able to follow the trajectory of it by controlling the software."

 

Analysis

This could be an aircraft, but where are the strobe lights? Probably too fast for a satellite.  Possibly a bird or insect caught in the security IR lamp?

Woman spots fast moving black object in the sky over Hoylake beach over Hoylake beach, Wirral, UK 1 June 2021

A woman from Hoylake, Wirral, UK says she witnessed a strange incident during a sunset beach walk with her sister on Tuesday, June 1.

Colette Elcock was visiting Hoylake beach with her sister, Francis, when they spotted a black shape moving quickly along the horizon.

As they were looking out towards the wind turbines, they noticed the object traveling at speed above the sand.

Colette told the Globe: “The sun had just set, and we were sat on the rocks by Hoylake Lifeboat Station.

“As we were looking out on the beach, I noticed this black shape come from the righthand side and moving really fast.

“At first I thought it was moving along the sand.

“I turned to Francis and said, ‘what’s that’?” 

 Colette says at first, she thought the object was a sand yacht but then realised it was travelling too fast to be one.

“I thought who would be out so late at night moving so fast along the sand that’s a bit weird.

“We were saying to each other ‘could it be a drone?’ but it was a round shape and didn’t have arms sticking out of it,” she said.

Colette’s sister had her camera with her and began to take pictures.

“We both watched it move up above the horizon and zoom along for a little while and then it went upwards,” Colette said. 

As Colette and her sister looked at the pictures captured on the camera the flying object had disappeared.

Colette said: “Then we lost it.

“I’m not sure if it was because of cloud cover but we didn’t see it again.

“We were wondering where it had gone it was all very puzzling.

“I was trying to make sense of it, but I couldn’t figure out what it could be.”

What has been hovering over Bogota, Columbia, 6 May 2021? Blue curved string of lights at night, dark object by day!

There has been a series of night-time videos on YouTube showing a strange curved string of blue lights hanging in the sky over Bogota, Columbia on 6 May 2021. 

At first glance you may think they are yet another "UFO" video of Starlink satellites that seem to be doing the rounds at the moment, but these lights seem to behave in a completely different way.

Firstly, they appear as blue in colour, and they are very bright. Next, they don't move in a steady straight line as satellites would, they appear as a curve which sometimes moves about in a strange way; in some videos, they appear motionless.

 

In one video, a witness can be heard saying in Spanish "there's a massive black object like a comet holding on the the light thing, its black and hard to see"

Now, a daylight video has appeared showing a dark object again hovering over Bogota, prior to the night time videos, again 6 May 2021. 

 The triangle shaped, dark object appears to stay stationery in the sky. 

Is the same object responsible for all these videos?

Analysis

What could explain these videos? Well, one possibility is that someone in Bogota has a very large kite, with a long tail fitted with LEDs, similar to these;

The kite and tail would have to be huge however, and the kite flown at an extreme height. Do you have any explanation?

Unidentified object moves across the sky over Nevada County, California, USA, 30 April 2021 - UPDATE - Old Video

A video has appeared showing a strange unidentified object slowly moving through the sky, low to the ground, over Nevada County, California, USA, on 30 April 2021. 

 

The video is purported to have been taken from State Highway 20. Unfortunately, there is no more information.

 Analysis

The video is of a low quality, so it is difficult to make out any details in the object. There does appear to be a dark strip down the centre of the object however. The object is moving slowly, just like an blimp or airship. 

The Goodyear blimp does have a dark blue strip down the centre of the body, so the video may be of one or maybe even two of these blimps flying together. 

There is a Goodyear blimp base in Carson CA, about 400miles to the south of the sighting location. Looking at the Goodyear Blimp website, there does not appear to have been a scheduled flight in the sighting area at the time. 

Conclusion - possibly a blimp or unknown
 

UPDATE - Apparently, this is an old video from 2019 from the Los Angeles area. Since there is a Goodyear Airship base in Carson, on the outskirts of LA, this video almost certainly shows the Goodyear blimp.

Light aircraft performs steep right-hand climbing turn to avoid an unknown object, Wellingborough, reported to UK Airprox Board, 18 Feb 2021

The UK Aircraft near-miss reporting agency, the Airprox Board, has recently reported a near-miss incident between a light aircraft and an unknown object over Wellingborough that occurred on 18 Feb 2021.

 

The report states, "The DA40 pilot reports that they were performing a VFR navigation training flight and were on a leg tracking towards Grafton Underwood. 

Just 1NM to the south of Wellingborough town, while performing standard lookout, they spotted the UAV closing fast, to the left and slightly below the nose at a range of about 100m. They performed a steep right-hand climbing turn but, by the time they had begun climbing away, the UAV was already abeam their left wing and slightly below. 

The UAV was 1-1.5m across, grey/silver in colour and with no visible markings or lighting. Immediately afterwards they informed Cranfield approach and passed the location of the incident. There was no NOTAM informing of UAV activity in that area active at the time."

The Airprox board conclude "In the Board’s opinion the reported altitude and/or description of the object were such that they were unable to determine the nature of the unknown object."

Unusual hovering object sighted over Praia do Secreto Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, April 5, 2021

A video has appeared showing a strange dark object, apparently hovering over the ocean near Praia do Secreto Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, April 5 2021. The object appears to change shape.

 

 

There is no more information, unfortunately.

 

 

Analysis

The object seems to change shape - just like a deflated balloon or even a plastic bag would. However, a balloon or bag would surely drift in the wind or fall to the ground which this object does not appear to do.

Conclusion - inconclusive

Remote farmstead security camera captures weird video of apparent bright diamond shaped object, Williston, North Dakota, USA on April 5, 2021

A weird video purporting to show a bright diamond-shaped object moving in the air above some farm storage silos has been provided to MUFON. The alleged event took place at a remote farmstead Williston, North Dakota, USA on April 5, 2021.

The owner of the video states "object was caught by motion detection on ptz camera mounted on top of structure out at remote unoccupied farmstead object moved from north to south - unclear how far away - next motion event was daylight, you can see the grain bins in background there were 2 dead cows found in tree row less than a mile away - no obvious cause of death, covered in mud. no farms with cows around for 10 miles, no reported missing cows from nearby farms never seen anything like this out there on the cameras"

Analysis

This is a very strange video - the movement of the object just doesn't look right: its very smooth and follows a very straight track, almost like a sprite on an early video game.

The object would appear to be shining brightly, and yet the light from it does not appear to illuminate any of the trees, buildings or ground around it. If it were a real bright object, surely it would.

If we superimpose a still from early in the video of the object with that of a daylight still, we can see that the time/date stamp and the dark silo shapes match up.

Conclusion - object just doesn't look right, but lets say unknown

Strange dark object caught floating over the mountains of Markleeville, California, USA on March 14, 2021

Witness states "Sunday, march 14th at approx. 1900 i stepped out of my snowcat to stretch, noticed object in the corner of my eye. thought it was maybe a bird, but it was way too big, so i grabbed my phone and started to video the object"

"There was no sound coming from object so that eliminates a plane or helicopter. it was too windy for glider or paraglider. a significant storm was rolling in that night and the object maintained its path. 

i could kind of see a mist or aura around the object, especially in the video. it seemed like it would level out or turn 360 degrees back and forth and was moving as it was flying. 

 as you can see, i was in a valley so if there was sound, i would have heard it. there were no lights but appeared to have some of aura and path. this video was taken just before sundown as the time had changed that morning. 

march 17th, days later, around 2100, i was in my snowcat at the highest point of the trails i groom when the speakers in the snowcat started to crackle and music started to mesh with itself. i was listening to a downloaded song on my iphone since there was no service out there. 

it was a very calm night when suddenly, snow and wind abruptly surrounded my cat. this continued for about a minute and then went back to being calm again and music went back to normal. this could have been a coincidence, but i had a strange feeling."

Dark object streaks through the day-time sky leaving a trail - Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK 13 March, 2021

A witness has recorded a fast-moving, dark object, streaking through the sky, leaving a trail on their camera, over Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK 13 March, 2021.

 

The witness states "Reflective flash drew my attention to the object which i thought was a helium balloon at first, then noticed it was traveling at speed towards my location horizontally flight path was in front of low clouds, clear sunny day not raining, ufo disappears out of sight behind tree branches after looking at video a couple more ufo's appears to be present to the right hand side tree after looking at video frame by frame it looks like it moves from point to point in one frame two ufo disappear from screen and appear to leave a white mark in the cloud and then reappear"

 

This has been reported to MUFON.

Analysis

The object is moving very fast - as fast if not faster then a jet aircraft. The witness did not report any engine sounds coming from the object however. The object may be a meteorite, although meteorites usually glow white hot following entry to the earths' atmosphere and are often accompanied by a sonic boom. Again, no boom was reported by the witness.

Conclusion - unknown

Mass potential UFO sightings in Wichita, Kansas, USA, 4 Mar 2021

According to local television, the incident took place on Thursday afternoon and the media received hundreds of reports from surprised witnesses.

 

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a bright, fast moving object that was not an aircraft.

“We see planes all the time. We’re close to the airport,” said local resident Mike Marler. “It was definitely not a plane.”

Local TV station received reports of UFO sightings and sent reporter Eli Higgins to fly over the city in a small plane and try to find him. However, by the time he ascended into the sky, the object had long been gone.

Flashing or Spinning bright object recorded over Norwalk, CA, USA on 6 Mar 2021

Witness states "Round organic looking glowing orb with flashing white light randomly, also seemed to be spinning. I was looking up at a clear blue sky in the afternoon when I noticed this white glowing object moving with random flashing white lights moving quite fast in the sky. 

It seemed to be spinning around and when the lights were off it looked like a black mass, it was hovering ( still ) at times, and then moving again changing direction one time at a 90 degrees angle. It looked like it was very high up in the sky, so it must have been big in size ! 

Don’t know what it was, definitely no airplane or balloon or any other known craft. Also this was not the first time I have seen a sighting like this above my house, this was the fourth time I have seen an UFO like this in the past year, only this time I had a clearer view on it then before"

 

Dark object hovers motionless over Port of Salvador, Brazil, 28 Feb 2021

Cristina Diniz has posted a video showing a dark, motionless object, hovering over Port of Salvador, Brazil, 28 February 2021.

Cristina says "Look at this people. On the morning of the day (28/02/2021) my brother who was boarded up just filmed in Porto de Salvador and sent to me that I'm crazy about this information When my brother went to film the second part, the object disappeared out of nowhere! So says my brother who accompanied all the details: 

The object was SILVER color with lights around, but in the video you can't see well. My brother said when he was going to film the second part, the object rose like lightning. Too fast."

Dark disk-like object hovers near São Paulo, Brazil 3 March 2021

A video has been posted showing a large disk-like object, hovering in the sky near São Paulo, Brazil on 3 March 2021.

In the video, the witness Suzano was driving along when he saw the object and pulled over to video. They say "SP today around 6:00 in the morning". There is no more information.

Shiny, floating object over South Yorkshire, UK - observed by at least 2 witnesses in different locations, 28 Feb 2021

The same strange object has been spotted and recorded floating over large parts of South Yorkshire, UK by 2 separate witnesses in different locations, on 28 February 2021.

 

The first video was posted on Facebook and shows the object spinning and floating over Rotherham South Yorkshire.The witness says "we was at home when we saw something in the sky we quickly grabbed our camera and started to film, you will not believe what happened and what we caught on camera! 100% real!"

 

Next, a similar object was spotted over  Carcroft, South Yorkshire approx 17 miles to the north east. The witness took video and actually made a report to MUFON. 

 

The witness gives a details account of the sighting "The object was stationary above my property for approx 25 minutes. we first observed it after seeing a helicopter pass below the object. the helicopter seemed to not notice the object at all. 

The object was seen as three vertical bright lights at first at around a mile high. it wasn't until i observed it through binoculars that i could see that it was y shaped and made up of 4 shapes. a reddish tictac shaped middle section with two struts sticking out of the top at angles, with a goldish orb atop both struts. 

Underneath the tictac was another strut with a silver orb attached. the whole structure was metalic. with the sun reflecting from it. with a bright light on each of the orbs which was visable when it turned its sides towards us. making it look like a lighted straight vertical line. 

it remained stationary, but after 20 minutes it rapidly moved a short distance from right to left. hovered for a while. before then quickly moving again from left to right. it then slowly rose vertically. before suddenly shooting upward vertically at very high speed out of sight. 

i have attached a video of the object which is of poor quality because of the sun glaring onto the screen. i might add the the weather was very good with blue sky and little cloud to obstruct view. also attached are close ups of the object as clear as i could. the object appears on the right top side of the video as a small white dot which will indicate to you the height it was observed towards the end of the sighting. i would love to hear your opinion on what you think the object is."

 

Analysis

For the most part, this sighting may have been explained away by a metallic party balloon, perhaps in the shape of a number or letter floating in the wind.  However, the wind that day could not push a balloon from Carncroft to Rotherham. There was a light Northerly wind that day, and to get to Rotherham would require a North-Westerly wind. We don't know where the object was first spotted. If spotted at Rotherham first, then the object would have to go against the wind which a balloon clearly cannot do.

Conclusion - unknown

Bright hovering and moving lights over Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA 26 Feb 2021

Brandi Lynn has posted a video showing a bright object hovering and then moving erratically behind trees near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA on 26 February 2021. 

She says "UFO sighting 2/26 @ 5:45am... ignore my crap commentary I did end up grabbing the hubs out of bed and dragging him outside. What do y'all think??"

Analysis

Brandi says in her video that the object has red and green lights. This is a bit of a clue, as all aircraft, including drones, have red and green navigation lights, red to the port side, green to starboard. The object in the video also appears to move in the same way a drone would, brisk movement left and right and then into a hover.

Conclusion - probably a drone. Interesting video anyway.

Flying disk-like object videoed from Brazilian TV weather report helicopter over the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil 16 Feb 2021

A weather report regarding the heavy cloud and rain filmed from a TV news helicopter over over the city of Sao Paulo on16 Feb 2021 may have inadvertently captured a unidentified flying disk.

 

The presenter even jokes with the idea that it is an UFO when it passes.

 

Analysis

The object is too far away to get a good look and the blurred, fast moving object could very well just be an aircraft.
