UFO Sightings Weekly is a directory of the best worldwide news reports regarding UFO's, unidentified aerial phenomenon, unidentified submerged objects and suspected alien sightings. We discard the obvious guff to present only the most compelling of UFO cases. It is also possible to submit a sighting for vetting directly via the website "Report a Sighting"
Footage from Dec. 1 2020 shows three orbs in triangle formation in the skies over Abbotsford and Aldergrove, Canada.
The witness description states:
“Driving east from 264 and Fraser hwy. At Aldergrove B.C. son
observed orange glow low obscured by trees, pulled over to see three
orange orbs in triangle formation. Wife documented on phone, lights
stayed same distance from each other while slowly heading s.w. and
slight rotation. 20 sec. or so later a single fiery orange orb brighter
than the others followed on the same flight path at the same speed.”
Analysis
We have no frame of reference in the video - we cannot see the ground, and so it is difficult to determine the speed or dynamics of the objects or object. It is not possible to determine whether this is one large object with lights or three smaller unconnected objects. The object(s) do not display any characteristics that cannot be explained by known terrestrial objects, such as Chinese lanterns, flares and drones.
A bright object has be caught on video flying over Chihuahua, Mexico on November 16, 2020.
The person who shot the original video, Mario Armendariz Velasquez,
wrote about what he saw (loosely translated from Spanish), “Something
flying which I think is a UFO and I saw it in the same area as a
previous one.”
The eyewitnesses were lucky enough to catch a few minutes of raw
footage of an unknown white craft flying from the left to the right of
them.
The craft was seen just after sunset and it is difficult to make out the detail due to the low quality of camera of the photo.
Analysis
The object does not appear to behave in any way dissimilar to an aircraft or helicopter. The bright appearance of the object could just be as a result of an out-of-foucus aircraft light. The fact that Mario Armendariz Velasquez says "I saw it in the same area as a
previous one" would seem to suggest this is a regular aircraft flight path.
Anuwatt Sinhaseni captured some mysterious lights circling over Ottawa, Canada at 8pm on 27 November 2020. The exact location was between Flewellyn road. And Fallowfield road.
Analysis
The lights are either a reflection of a light beam from the ground or bright objects flying neat the cloud base. It appears the lights are circling about a central point, and each revolution seems to follow the same path.
Conclusion - reflections from a rotating light beam reflecting off clouds, likely from a night club or shopping mall promotion.
A video has been posted recently showing a string of lights apparently hovering in the sky over Chile.
The video was taken by the Gollitos Family on 22 November 2020 but exactly where the video was taken is not known. This could be a number of separate smaller objects in a formation or a single large object that contains lights in it's structure. The video is reminiscent of the well-known "Phoenix Lights" sighting.
Analysis
In order to determine whether the object(s) move during the video, image snapshots from the video were taken at 7 seconds, 12 seconds, 25 seconds and 40 seconds intervals and the images superimposed such that the building and foreground line up.
As we can see, the lights do not appear to move, they are static (at least for the duration of the video). It would be likely that flares would drift over that time and their position would change. Therefore we can say these are not flares or Chinese lanterns.
There does not appear to be any
stars in the video so either they are too dim to show or the sky was
cloudy, obscuring them. This suggests the lights are either very much brighter
than stars or are low in the sky, beneath the cloud cover.
We do not know if the objects are actually in the sky, or whether there are hills or mountains in the distance that do not appear on the video. If there are mountains, the lights may be from buildings or vehicles, although being in a line grouping like this is usual.
The mysterious object seen in the skies of Aydın's Köşk district at night time both surprised and anxious the citizens. The mysterious object, which is said to have been seen for 2 days.
The mysterious object seen in the skies of Karatepe District of Köşk district last night surprised the locals. One of the residents of the neighborhood, Mustafa Ayar, recorded the mysterious object with a mobile phone camera. The object scattered blue light and disturbed the citizens.
"Seen for 2 days"
Stating
that he has not encountered such a thing until now, Aydın Kılınç, Head
of Karatepe Neighborhood, said, "A blue coloured object has been walking
around our neighborhood for 2 days. We demand the object to be
investigated, "he said.
Recently posted on YouTube is a video showing a bright stationery object over Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan, dated 15 November 2020.
There is not enough resolution in the video to discern any detail the object.
Analysis
Being stationery, the object cannot be a balloon or aircraft, and even a helicopter would show some movement in the video. It is not known what time of day the video was taken, but judging by the shadows in the video, it is likely late afternoon, with the sun low in the sky. A look at Stellarium shows that the planet Jupiter would have been visible to the South later afternoon, being very bright at the moment.
However, the Sun is setting in the south-west, and looking south would have resulted in the building walls facing the video camera being in shadow - they are not. Looking East, there is the planet Mars, also bright at this time, but not as bright as Jupiter, and it has a distinctly red tint to it, which the object in the video has not.
