Light Aircraft reports near miss with a small black object at 9000feet over Ashford, UK 1 July 2021

The most recent monthly UK Airpox board summary for the month of July details a near-miss between a Cessna C208 aircraft and a small black object at 9500feet over Lashenden, Ashford, UK.

 

The C208 pilot reports that they saw a small object at 9500ft when climbing for a parachute drop. The object was a dark colour (possibly black) and about 1m² in size. No avoiding action was taken. In their opinion, this could have been a drone.

The NATS Safety Investigation notes nothing was observed on radar by the controller and the pilot subsequently stated it may have been a balloon or drone and approximately 2ft in diameter. 

Glowing "UFO" releases orbs over São Gonçalo, Brazil 17 August 2021

A video made on August 17 by Alan Rondon, in São Gonçalo, Brazil shows a strange bright glowing object, floating in the sky, releasing light "orbs. 

Witness says "it stood for a long time in the same place then it started moving and releasing several lights Managed to enlarge and stabilize the image".

 A video has been posted on YouTube by Fabricio Bullerjahn showing a small, white object flying across the camera view at an extremely fast speed.

Passenger and Military Jets Both Report Seeing a UFO Over Eastern Canada, 30 July 2021

According to an aviation incident report posted on 11 August 2021, both a Canadian military and a KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight “reported seeing a bright green flying object” that “flew into a cloud, then disappeared” over the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, in a stretch of open water between Quebec and Newfoundland.

The KLM passenger flight (KLM618) was traveling from Boston to Amsterdam while the Canadian military transport aircraft (CFC4003) was flying between CFB Trenton, a base in Ontario, and Cologne, Germany.

Few other details were made available in the report, which appeared in CADORS, the Canadian government’s flight incident archive. 

The Canadian military plane may have been travelling to Europe as part of a mission to bring Afghan personnel to Canada. Data posted to Twitter by aviation and shipping researcher Steffan Watkins suggests the Canadian flight even changed course and altitude at the time of the sighting, which might actually have occurred on July 31.

The Canadian military and KLM airlines did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the July 30 UFO report in CADORS. Nor did Nav Canada, the private company that operates Canada’s air traffic control system and whose employees would have received the initial reports. In all statements relating to its aviation reporting system, Transport Canada cautions the “reports contain preliminary, unconfirmed data, which can be subject to change.”

Interesting video shows glowing UFO dropping two smaller objects, São Paulo, Brazil, 8 August 2021

A YouTube video from Diego Santos has been posted showing a glowing object floating over Mooca District of São Paulo, Brazil, on 8 August 2021. 

In the clip we can see this brightly lit object fly over the sky of Mooca, the quick thinking witness pulled over his car and managed to filmed the UFO moments before it apparently deploys two smaller objects.

Analysis

If it weren't for the shape of the object, this could be explained by a Chinese lantern dropping some burning fuel. It may of course be an unusually shaped lantern, possible designed to provoke a UFO sighting!

A commentator rightly asks "Why would anyone stop recording if a UFO, potentially an Alien Space Craft was doing that in front of them?"

Unusual fast moving object filmed on night CCTV over Isla Cristina, Andalucía, Spain, 2 August 2021

A witness says he filmed a strange fast-moving object on his security CCTV camera over Isla Cristina, Andalucía, Spain, August 2021. The sighting has been reported to MUFON.

The witness states "I was in the living room managing the security camera with a Wi-Fi connection previously installed on the roof of the house. I turned on the infrared lamp from the laptop in the device software a few minutes later I saw an object passing by at high speed so I started recording the video. I was able to follow the trajectory of it by controlling the software."

 

Analysis

This could be an aircraft, but where are the strobe lights? Probably too fast for a satellite.  Possibly a bird or insect caught in the security IR lamp?

New Paper published in Nature Magazine sheds light on possible Alien craft photographed in geostationary orbit in 1950

A new paper published in Nature magazine entitled "Exploring nine simultaneously occurring transients on April 12th 1950" describes an anomalous astro-photography image taken in 1950 that shows 9 bright objects that weren't there on another photograph of the same section of sky 30 minutes later.

Paper postulates that the anomalies are possibly due to atom bomb contamination or temporary objects in geostationary orbit before the human spaceflight era

 

One of the most important tools available to astronomers are surveys. Astronomical surveys of the night sky. These surveys involve photographing an entire section of the night sky with telescopes for general use, rather than aiming the telescope at anything in particular.

Several astronomers were recently looking at some photographs from one such survey, the National Geographic Society – Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (NGS-POSS), for the first time.
 

Glass plate photography was the gold standard up until 1998-2000 when CCD sensors finally became advanced enough to supplant them. These photographic glass plates required long exposures - 30 minutes each.

The NGS-POSS was exposing plates in pairs. One plate sensitive to red light, then a second one of the same spot of the sky 30 minutes later, this one sensitive to blue light. Put them together, and you get most of the color information about the light.

This meant that this survey actually had two photographs of each section of the sky it covered, taken 30 minutes apart. This was why our intrepid astronomers, the heros of this story, were looking through these plates. They were looking for anything that could be seen on one plate, but not the other. A transient. Often such transients are nothing interesting, or some form of contamination of the plate, occasionally someone sneezed too close to one, that kind of thing.

But sometimes, a transient would represent something truly interesting. Many discoveries in astronomy have been the result of looking through surveys for such transients.

The astronomers had only just begun their search when they came across something that was utterly astonishing. Something that had never once been seen in the entire history of the field of astronomy.

They found 9 transients that were visible on a red plate, only to have vanished just 30 minutes later on the blue plate. Transients are usually found in isolation, or occasionally 2 at once. But never 9. Surely this had to be contamination. This was their first guess.

And it was also the first thing they ended up ruling out. They have a lot of experience identifying the various types of contamination that sometimes befall these plates, but no known form of contamination could have produced these transients.

Even more interestingly, these transients were dots. Points. Remember, these are long exposures and the earth is rotating. This elongates stars or any other distant objects into smears, short little lines in the direction of rotation.

The paper authors came to 2 conclusions;

1) the objects were due to radioactive particles, possible from atom bomb tests. Kodak has experience of such contamination on photographic films in the late 40's and 50's, so this is possible as this video elucidates.

However,  radioactive contamination would surely affect other plates as well. Also, the light wouldn’t be right and there were no atom bomb tests in 1950 anyway.
 

2) these are reflections off of unnatural objects intentionally placed into geostationary orbit around Earth years before we had the capability to do so.

Intriguing Saucer-shaped object videoed over Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia, July 10, 2021

A Yuotube video taken by John Mario Aguirre Valencia has been posted showing what looks like a classic saucer UFO descending over the town on Pereira, Risaralda, Colombia on  July 10, 2021.

 John says "UFO seen entering Pereira through San Luis, in front of the Pereira city residential complex. I couldn't record much because I was driving, in any case I was able to watch it twice that afternoon. This object goes down to the mountain that is between the neighborhood of the town and the avenida de las americas or south avenue of the city of Pereira. hiding there where we couldn't see him anymore. The approximate time was 4 in the afternoon with 21 minutes."

 

Strange Light activity over Porirua, Wellington, New Zealand 14 July 2021 - UPDATE -

"SuperSup Nguyen" has posted an interesting video on YouTube showing a strange light formation moving or changing in the night sky over Porirua, Wellington, New Zealand 14 July 2021.

SuperSup Nguyen says "This cluster of UFOs was captured on John Burke Drive, Porirua, New Zealand on 14th July 2021 looking toward the south east direction. From the distance, i guess they were somewhere down the south island. This is not the first time i see the similar source of lights in this direction."

 

These strange lights are eerily similar to lights seen in the same town nearly a year ago, reported 3 August 2020. A post in the NZ Herald says;

"UFO over Porirua? Mysterious hovering lights stun locals. Video / Theodora Faafia

It was in the early hours in Porirua when Theodora Faafia left home and spotted three lights hovering up in the dark skies above the town.

Faafia was with her cousin and they both spotted the lights and wondered what it was. She filmed them on her phone for a few seconds then posted on the local group, to see if anyone knew what they could be.

"Sooooo as I was leaving home this morning, we spotted these three big lights just hovering over Porirua City. Anyone have a clue what it could be?" she wrote.

One person in the comments said they saw it too but no one had a definitive theory on what the lights were.

Faafia says she "has no idea" what the lights could be.

"I just thought it was strange and so did my cousin because it wasn't plane lights or anything it was just still in the sky," she told the Herald.

"We didn't hang around as I had to drop my cousin off to town for work so we just continued to drive and kept watching it as we drove till it was out of our sight. By the time we got back to Porirua it was daylight."

UPDATE

Reddit users have identified the exact location and have matched the video with google earth images. It would appear that the "hill" in the video is actually the roof of a house, and there is a larger hill behind which looks like sky in the video. There is a track traversing the hill, so it is likely the lights are just lights from a vehicle traveling up or down the hill track.

Bright, fast moving ball-shaped object caught on video during a thunder storm over US navy base in Yokosuka City, Japan, 7 July 2021

Japanese YouTuber "いろいろやってみる、ぶぐがんす" has posted a video showing a bright ball-like object moving erratically during a thunderstorm over a US navy base in Yokosuka City, Japan, on 7 July 2021.

 

The witness says "I happened to discover a UFO while shooting thunder ⁉︎ I think it's real!" 

They continue "It looks like it is flying at a fairly high speed while shining. The navigation light is not blinking because it is not an airplane or helicopter."

The object in question appears after about 1 minute, 20 seconds into the video;

Analysis

It is probably not a coincidence that this object appears during a thunderstorm - that is a clue. It is highly likely that this is a video of the very rare phenomenon of ball lightning.

From wikipedia, "Ball lightning is an unexplained phenomenon described as luminescent, spherical objects that vary from pea-sized to several meters in diameter. Though usually associated with thunderstorms, ball lightnings are said to last considerably longer than the split-second flash of a lightning bolt, and are a distinct phenomenon from St. Elmo's fire"

Student photographs object with bright lights hovering over the sea before "it sped off" near Teignmouth , Devon, UK, June 2021 - UPDATED July 2021

A student says he was left shocked after spotting a large UFO hovering "for ten seconds" over a Devon seafront - before it sped off into the distance. 

 

Photos he took appear to show four bright lights in a triangular-shaped formation lingering in the night's sky.

The mature student said within seconds of taking the pictures, the object sped off into the distance.

Matthew said: "I couldn't help but see it.

"My kitchen window gives a great view of the sea so when it came across the horizon

"It wasn't moving like a plane would.

"It was moving a lot slower and went up and down for a bit before hovering a good ten seconds.

"It stayed in one spot long enough for me to pull out my phone and get those snaps.

"Then it quickly zoomed off at some speed and I couldn't see it anymore.

"The light was really bright."

"I just didn't know what it could be so I decided to take a picture.

"I'm not quite losing my marbles yet.

"But it's hard to place it so I suppose it is an unidentified flying object."

Update

Local photographer Matthew Blythe also took a photograph from the same location looking out to see that night. He used a proper camera, not a phone camera. What he photographed was the moon poking through a gap in the clouds. As we can see, the image is identical to the "UFO" image taken by Mathew Evans.

Bright disk or cigar shaped object recorded flying erratically over Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Brazil 29 May 2021

David Smolinski has provided a rather poor video showing a white or bright disk-like object flying in an erratic manner over Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park, Goiás, Brazil on 29 May 2021.

David states "object apparently shaped like a glowing disk and it moves quite quickly and looks like it had some sort of trouble in flight and looks like it would crash behind these mountains".

 

Analysis

The video is so poor we cannot make any detail in the object so cannot really say what it is. Intriguing all the same.

Intersting alledged UFO photo taken over the Francisco Madero refinery, Tamps, Mexico, June 2021

According to the Mexican news site, "www.elmanana.com" researchers of the UFO phenomenon in Tamaulipas are investigating the veracity of a photograph recently taken from the Francisco I Madero Refinery golf course. 

 

Roger Bailón, who took the photograph, revealed that prior to the sighting of the object, a storm was approaching in the southern region of the state, so the sky clouded and a wind of about 60 kilometers per hour was registered. 

He noted that the photograph of the Unidentified Flying Object was taken with a conventional cell phone. He said that "it is something very beautiful what it feels like to see an object of this type ... I do not dedicate myself to taking photographs of this type ... It is a good experience". 

He indicates that the photograph has already passed several studies and it has been determined that it is not manipulated. He said that they have already tried to discredit the photograph, however he mentions that it was a strong wind and the object was suspended for several seconds, “it was a figure like Spacy Bader type”. 

He indicates that it is the second time that he has seen strange objects in the sky, as 4 years ago he spotted an object of multiple fluorescent colors, however he could not take evidence of that sighting. 

He pointed out that when he took the photograph, he shared it on social networks, for which, in a matter of a short time, it even transcended internationally, as he points out that he was contacted by the University of Costa Rica, and they have invited him to travel to Europe. 

In addition, researchers from Spain and Querétaro contacted to follow up on this research. Meeting with Marco Cruz, psychologist and UFO researcher from Tamaulipas, the employee of Petróleos Mexicanos, assured that the photograph is legitimate, and surely the image will serve to show life on other planets.

Analysis

The image does look like the sun or sun-lit bright clouds showing through a gap in the storm clouds. The witness, Roger Bailón, does not mention any movement with the object, just that it faded away.

Conclusion - gap in the storm clouds showing the sun or bright, sun-lit coulds behind. 

Spinning-top shaped object recorded floating over Tamasopo, Mexico, June 25, 2021

Inwy Rea has posted a Facebook video showing a  strange, spinning-top shaped object floating over Tamasopo, Mexico, on June 25, 2021.

 Unfortunately, there is no more information.

Analysis

It is unfortunate that we do not have any more information about this sighting - it would add weight to its validity. What happened after the video ended? Is this just a balloon?. It does bare more than a passing similarity to another "ufo" video that was debunked as just a balloon.

"Tic Tac" shaped object over photographed over Hinckley, Liecestershire, UK before "shooting off in a blink of an eye" 13 June 2021

Lucy Jane Castle, swore she saw the craft matching the description of the USS Nimitz UFO encounter hovering over Leicestershire.

 

She took a photo of the craft before it shot away "in the blink of an eye" last Sunday at 9pm.

The nutritionist, of Hinckley, said: "It was hovering for a while and within a blink of an eye it had gone.

"Never seen anything like this before in that shape. Quickly took a picture while it was very still and within a blink of an eye it disappeared."

She posted the puzzling snap on the UK UFO sightings group on Facebook.

Analysis

In the main 2nd image, the object is so far away that the camera cannot resolve much detail. If you think that the tail and wings occupy less then 1 pixel in the image sensor, they won't appear in the images. The zoomed image would also not show these either.

East Midlands airport (EMA) is to the north of Liecesterchire but this woman said she spotted it in the southwest near Hinckley. Looking at the flightradar data from that time (June 13th 9pm GMT), two flights passed Hinckley, a Wizzair Airbus A320 departing from Birmingham international (BHX) to the south, and a Fedex 757 departing from EMA to the North. However, the flight path of both planes was still quite far from Hinckley itself. There's no military installations in the area, nor any other real points of interest.

Woman spots fast moving black object in the sky over Hoylake beach over Hoylake beach, Wirral, UK 1 June 2021

A woman from Hoylake, Wirral, UK says she witnessed a strange incident during a sunset beach walk with her sister on Tuesday, June 1.

Colette Elcock was visiting Hoylake beach with her sister, Francis, when they spotted a black shape moving quickly along the horizon.

As they were looking out towards the wind turbines, they noticed the object traveling at speed above the sand.

Colette told the Globe: “The sun had just set, and we were sat on the rocks by Hoylake Lifeboat Station.

“As we were looking out on the beach, I noticed this black shape come from the righthand side and moving really fast.

“At first I thought it was moving along the sand.

“I turned to Francis and said, ‘what’s that’?” 

 Colette says at first, she thought the object was a sand yacht but then realised it was travelling too fast to be one.

“I thought who would be out so late at night moving so fast along the sand that’s a bit weird.

“We were saying to each other ‘could it be a drone?’ but it was a round shape and didn’t have arms sticking out of it,” she said.

Colette’s sister had her camera with her and began to take pictures.

“We both watched it move up above the horizon and zoom along for a little while and then it went upwards,” Colette said. 

As Colette and her sister looked at the pictures captured on the camera the flying object had disappeared.

Colette said: “Then we lost it.

“I’m not sure if it was because of cloud cover but we didn’t see it again.

“We were wondering where it had gone it was all very puzzling.

“I was trying to make sense of it, but I couldn’t figure out what it could be.”

Dark diamond shaped object hovers in the sky over Atibaia, interior of São Paulo, Brazil June 2021

A video taken by Mari Barbaroto showing a dark diamond shaped object hovering stationery in the sky has been posted on YouTube by Sergio Tenorio. 

 

Not much is known except it was originally posted on a UFO Facebook group. The incident took place in June 2021 over Atibaia, interior of São Paulo, Brazil.

Interestingly, a similar object was also videoed over São Paulo back in March 2021!

Metallic Diamond-shaped object floats above Anglesey, North Wales, UK on 04 June 2021

YouTuber "John Snow" has posted a video showing a large, metallic diamond shaped object floating over his house on Anglesy, North Wales, UK on 4 June 2021.

John says "This huge diamond shaped craft flew over my house while I was having a smoke outside my front door. It was metallic like polished chrome, about the size of a bus and was completely smooth and had no visible engines or exhaust and was completely silent as it went overhead. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life!"

 

Saucer shaped object videoed floating over Sarasota, FL USA, 23 May 2021

Youtuber "Football Ian" has posted a video showing a saucer shaped object floating over his house over Sarasota, Florida USA on 23 May 2021.

 

At first glance, it just looks like a balloon floating in the wind, however the object seems to stop and hover in a stationery position towards the end of the video.

Analysis

Some commenters say they think it is a just balloon, with one questioning why the witness stopped taking the video after just 45 seconds - valid questions. We do not se the object slow down and stop, as it is obscured by the awning, and we only see the object again stationery on the other side - slightly suspicious!

MUFON Case 115599 - Large grey cylindrical object, slowly descending Hamilton, Ontario, Canada 21 May 2021

A sighting has been reported to MUFON of a large grey cylindrical object, slowly descending over the town of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada 21 May 2021. The Witness does not give any more information, however.

This is very similar to a sighting made on the same day in Indonesia where a dark cylindrical object was also seen to descend slowly this time into the sea. Could these be parts of the same object?
