Mysterious fireball UFO ignites blaze in Peachland, North Carolina USA 16 March 2021

A mysterious fireball caught on video floating through the night sky near Peachland North Carolina USA sparked a blaze Tuesday night, 16 March 2021.

Local resident Jay Balehowsky said he was taking his garbage out when he noticed a bright object glowing in the sky.

It seemed like it was kind of circling around,” he said.

Balehowsky started videoing the object. At that point, he said he thought it was maybe a drone.

But then we saw it break up, and it started flying towards us,” he said. “We saw the rest of it burn out and then one piece basically fell down into the neighbour’s yard. At that point, it had grown, and it was a fairly fast-moving fire given the time of night and the time of year.

The blaze rapidly spread towards a couple of structures, and the heat melted some of the vinyl siding on a house, Craig said.

Nobody was injured, he added.

Craig said residents in the area didn’t even initially realize that there was a fire right below their house.

It wasn’t until the fire trucks started showing up,” he said.

The fire chief noted that he isn’t a scientist, but he isn’t convinced that the unidentified object was a meteor. “I don’t think rocks remain combustible too long,” he said. “It doesn’t seem like a hot rock would cause a fire like that.

The rocks show the flame because they’re coming through the atmosphere with friction,” he said. “Once they stop moving, they don’t support combustion.

The fire department plans to go back to the site on Wednesday and see if they can find anything in daylight.

“To be honest, if I didn’t see the video, I’d be very skeptical,” he said. “My initial reaction would have been fireworks or something along those lines. But given the altitude the object came from, it couldn’t have been fireworks or even a flare".

The video clearly shows something at a high, high altitude that fell from the sky,” Craig said. I’ve been in the service now going on 22 years, and this is absolutely a first for me.”

Balehowsky said the video was shot on a phone, and it doesn’t fully show the glow and brightness of the fireball.

Although the cause of the fire has not been verified, Craig doesn’t believe it’s suspicious.

There’s a lot to be learned from this fire,” he said. “It really highlights the importance of fire-smarting your property and making sure that you have no combustible vegetation or debris between zero and 1.5 metres out from your house.

Mysterious pink glowing 'UFO' seen in sky hours after huge fireball crashes near town, Tibet 24 Dec 2020

Bizarre footage has emerged of a pink glowing object suspending in the dark sky just hours after a huge fireball fell from space. The clip, which went viral on social media in China, left witnesses baffled when they saw it on the highway in the city of Delingha of Qinghai province across the Tibetan Plateau on December 23.

In the video, the bright pink-hue UFO appears to be stationary as the motorist drives on the deserted highway. The object seems to be glowing around a sphere and it can be seen from various angles in the nearby area.

Many viewers said it resembled a moon but some said the light gathered like a cloud formation.

One said: "Isn't there an alien base in Delingha? Maybe they are returning to the base?". "What is this?" another asked. "This is close to that famous 'alien ruins'!"

A woman told a local newspaper: "This is not a moon, it's more like a cloud, a glowing pink one. "It stayed for 35 minutes to 40 minutes and disappeared."

This incident came just 12 hours after a mass sighting of a glowing meteor plunging towards the city of Yushu, somewhere 700km south of Delingha.

The fireball was seen emitting a bright white light while passing above the towns.

It was also recorded by the China Earthquake Networks Centre, which said on social media that it had reports of a suspected bolide - a form of a very bright meteor - landing between Nangqian County and Yushu County at 7.25am on Wednesday, December 23.

There are speculations that the glowing pink light could be emitted from the bolide but experts have yet to identify it.
